Change fields, such as engaged philanthropy often treat “knowledge work” either as learning process, information management, or evaluation. However, Knowledge Designs to Change, believes that social change is not fully served by these constructs alone.

We understand knowledge design as much broader and more connected to strategies to achieve exponential change. Knowledge design inherently involves asking questions, not only about feedback, data, and measures, but also about power, voice, and access.

Our approach is to collaborate within the unique social context of each foundation and change effort; to build on the organization’s culture and relationships; and to draw upon a variety of creative methods to illuminate, deepen, and even drive change strategy.

We are committed to positive and passionate action for social change through the practice of knowledge creation and the building of both the fields of knowledge development and philanthropy as strategic and connected investments into equity.
