It might not attract Taylor Swift-size crowds but knowledge work is going on tour!
Over the past few months, I have heard from many peers doing knowledge work in philanthropy. They share that:
- It is difficult to explain what knowledge work is.
- It can be challenging to do rigorous knowledge work on a grantmaking timeline.
- It feels lonely sometimes to be the single advocate for knowledge work in an organization.
- It can be daunting to figure out how to align knowledge work with equity intentions.
I want you to know that you are not alone. Whether you are new to knowledge work or have been leading knowledge building for more than 25 years as I have, I want to support you in your work.
